Here goes nothing....

Okay, so I have officially decided that the MSN website is too hard to keep up with!!

Let me know what you think of this. Is it easier to use, etc? I sure hope so... When it takes an hour to download pictures it kinda gets you unmotivated to do it... Know what I mean?

Alright, I will get to the update part:
We had some visitors last week, My Uncle Barb and Karen Sue... No they are not lesbian lovers. (There is a story behind the name, but I am only going to tell you it if you blog and ask, ha!)

Even though the weather dropped down below minus 20 Barb and Karen Sue handled it like true Sourdoughs. We absolutely had a ball. We went to the out house races, sled dog races, Chena Hot Springs and the ice festival, played some hard core Phase 10 and chicken foot ( in which I had my butt completely kicked) , shopped for some souvenirs (U Bill I hope you like your Moose nuggets) and watched the Northern Lights in full force. [Oh yeah, I can't forget Flavor Flav night. He picked Hoops in case you weren't able to see it;)] Plus, they were able to meet a beautiful baby boy, Bo Madden (our good friends NEW baby).

Since the fam left us on Saturday evening we have been starting to wrap things up. I have eight days of work left; the movers come in 7; my car goes in 8; and we fly out to house hunt/vacation in 11. After our trips we will be back here for 10 days before we drive out for real! Man... the past three years have flown by!

Even though our time here has seemingly flown by we have made some wonderful memories and will definitely miss many things about the Great North. Especially the fishing... and our friends!

As I mentioned earlier, we are counting down the days until our upcoming trips...

Our first trip is heading to Great Falls to find a house. What a big and exciting step toward adulthood:) We have our "check sheet" printed out and are ready to look at home after home. Plus, we are going to see Kendra Lowe before her and Patrick pack up and move to their next assignment. (Pat and Ken went to school with Chris)

Our second trip is a family vacation to the Grand Cayman (a tribute to Chris' Grandma Glor). The Cayman is going to be fabulous; sun, sand, scuba, pampering, snorkeling, visiting, relaxing... the list can go on and on. I don't think that my body has experienced heat in over a year. I may go into shock:)What will my poor sun deprived legs do? (besides guide the fish to shore.)

Here are some more pics to enjoy...

Old Faithful, a loyal participant of the outhouse races. 24 years and still putting up with everyone's shit.
After the outhouse races Chris tried to get a spare in human bowling... (He missed the pins.) Bo Elias Madden, born 3/16/06

Yeap.. it is. You are super fast at this.
Okay, so Uncle Barb is really my 2nd cousin (on my mom's side). My mom is an only child, but very close with some of her first cousins. Barb is one of her "sibling cousins". Naturally when Eric and I came around we called her Aunt... and Uncle. Well, I called her Aunt. But, Eric, my brother, called her Aunt one day and it stuck. He was around Uncle's more when he was beginning to learn everyone "name" and didn't understand the difference between Aunt and Uncle. Needless to say, my crazy family thought it was funny and went along with it. Now Barb has been Uncle Barb for about 15 years.

I never really thought much of it until I went to college. Try introducing your Uncle Barb to a group of college students.

OKay, anyone who reads this be warned. We may not reply to your emails in a timely manner. The movers are coming on Monday...
