I am going to SCREAM!!

Okay... I just spent the past hour spray painting marks/lines on dirt. The marks/lines are so we know where the post for our fence will go. Chris and I rented a trencher and a post-hole digger this weekend. We plan on busting out the sprinkler trenches and putting in the posts. But what do I hear? THUNDER. What do I see? Lightning. To the left I see blue skies and to the right rain. If those marks are gone I am going to scream. NO LIE! I used two cans of $4 spray paint!! Rain drops just hit the window. Now I hear it on the roof. I hope this goes by fast.

Update: 10:30 Friday night
~The lines are still there and the post holes are dug!! I am not as strong as I thought. The auger was a two man job. We put it on the “mark” and let it work its magic. But... Oh yeah, there's a BUT... It kept getting stuck on rocks and bogging down. To pull it up was like pulling a Chevy up from the bottom of the Ohio River. 3 holes in (out of 45) I had to run to the hardware store to get a post-hole digger (so we could get a rock out). I asked everyone at the hardware store if they knew ANYONE who wanted to help. I could not imagine digging 42 more holes!! I was so desperate that I started to ask the guy next to me at the stop light if he wanted to help. We would pay him of course. But then I thought about how I would have to word my request and changed my mind. “Hey, would you like to help my husband dig holes for twenty bucks?” Not exactly the best thing to say to a stranger or anyone else for that matter. When I got back to the house and returned to the auger Chris kept asking me if I was okay. I kept saying yeah, but by the 9th hole my forearms were red and contracting and my shoulders were to the point of falling off. Tears were coming to my eyes and I thought that it was over. Until... our neighbors walked by. Chris chased after them and asked them if their 13 year old would like to help. Caleb, the 13 year old, was excited and went to work. About twenty minutes later his Dad came over to help out too. We love our neighbors! Let’s hope that tomorrow goes better and we don't have to send out for more recruits.

Thank goodness for neighbors. You make me happy I went with this wireless fence. I opened the box, and plugged it in. That was it.

I agree with Angie. Sure seems like a lot of work for a fence. I'm just glad you didn't end up asking the random guy at the stop light; that's kind of scary.

Yeah, but it would have been more work if we would have done it all by hand. I wouldn't have really asked that guy. The fact that I even thought about it is too funny.

It started to rain on us today so our sprinkler system is still not finished. We have the trenches done and most of the front yard pieced together.

How's your sunburn? I didn't look pink when I left your house, but this morning I woke up a little crispy.
