New furniture!

Check out our new furniture! Chris found them on Criagslist this weekend... We went to a couple furniture stores on Sunday hoping to find some new furniture for our living room and after we got home we decided to explore some other options. (Did you realize how expensive furniture is?) We looked on Craigslist and there they were...

Beautiful Italian leather, calling out our names... Chris was so excited that he booked marked them for Dad and I to check out and we all quickly decided that they were a steal. So, Chris called right away and scheduled times to go by and check them out on Monday. The only inconvenient thing was that Chris found them in Portland so we were going to have to figure out a good weekend/time to drive them up and we didn't quite know when it would work. Originally, we planned on waiting until Thanksgiving to bring the furniture up but today Chris found out that his work is sending him to San Diego, tomorrow, for a month. (This is a great opportunity for Chris so I am very excited for him. Hopefully the company will fly him home in a couple weeks but we don't know for sure just yet. Regardless, this is a good thing.) Now it looks like this weekend might just be the best option... You may be wondering how we are gong to get the furniture here if Chris is going to be gone. Well, Dad is going to fly down and get the truck and drive it back with our beautiful new furniture in the back. We are trying to sell our truck, and it would be pretty impossible for Chris to sell it in Vancouver when he is in San Diego... This way we don't have to wait a month to sell the truck and I can have a seat on my pretty leather sofa this weekend!!! Besides, the price we are paying for the couch, chair, plane ticket and gas still beats the price of ONE (that's right ONE) chair we found at the furniture store on Sunday! Now when Wilson pukes on the couch (which he does like 20 times a day) or Buckeye jumps up on it I won't freak out about the thousands of dollars we wasted on furniture.

I'm glad that you found a great deal. And, yeah, we know how expensive furniture is, even more so here, especially with the horrible exchange rate. Gah.
