Cat Tales

So we went to Cat Tales. We had a good time and saw many cats. At first I was disappointed that they were all in cages. I mean these strong, beautiful, WILD animals in a cage? (Hey, I didn't want them to be running down the isle with me. Just in a larger environment.) But after our tour I learned more about the facility and the reason many of the "cats" are at the zoo: Many are rescued from people who thought that they wanted exotic animals as pets (aka disney movie addicts or slightly insane) and could not handle them or... mistreated them. Others are retired from other zoos, show biz, or circus work.

This is a LIGER!!

Sounds so cool, but you're right, it is sad to see them in cages.

Is that place in your town? Is it part of the zoo or a completely separate place. Did Wilson like seeing all the big cats?

It is here in Spokane. It is a non-profit. Wilson pointed at the cats. He didn't really care too much. They were big Jake and Buckeyes
