Adventure Wing's Visit

We had a great time with Kar and Reid. On Friday, we hung out and did laundry (what a great friend I have--she fly hours to see me and I let her fold clothes), while Reid got adjusted and Wilson rested (he has a cold again),. Then, Chris made it in and after the little guy woke up from his nap we went to our favorite restaurant, Clinkendaggers. Clinks was awesome, as usually. We requested our favorite table and even had our favorite server, Jimmy. I had the usual, chicken dijon, while Chris and Kari had salmon. Delish.

Saturday we drove out to Green Bluff to show Kari the farms. It was foggy and rainy but we still had a good time. I have been saying for weeks that I wanted to take Kari out there. I was bummed that the weather was so glum, but I think everyone enjoyed it. We stopped by the Townsend winery and sampled some of their wines, bought some Christmas gifts, and purchased some wine for later. After the winery we headed back to good 'ole Walter's farm. There we had lunch, bought some apple pie for dinner, and showed Wilson the chickens and a bunny. (Chris and I love the Green Bluff area. It's like Gallia county in the mountains.)

After our country-side tour we took advantage of Kari's Costco membership and headed to Costco. It is my least favorite place to shop! Mostly because no one who shops there has any situational awareness. They all seem to be on a mission for something. I get cut off at least three times, and ran into at least once, every time I go there. Even though the shoppers annoy me, my company made me laugh and... we found a dog bed for Buckeye! Yey! His guilty, sad eyes will no longer tempt me to let him on the bed.

Sunday, we headed to Chris' favorite breakfast place in Brown's addition and drove Kari through Riverside State Park and Manito Park before we took Chris to the airport. Later that day we watched a chick flick (The Sweetest Thing-- a 2002 girl movie classic), walked the dogs, took Wilson's crib apart and enjoyed our last night catching up.

Thanks, again, for coming it out. It was great seeing you guys and catching up.
