Make it stop-- please! Wilson is coughing every few seconds. It is after midnight. I have a quiz tomorrow. My head won't stop racing and my baby won't stop coughing. I finally gave him some cough medicine, about 15 minutes ago, but it hasn't seemed to help him. I just left his room. He was awake. His wasn't fussing, but I could see from his tired little eyes that he just wants to sleep in peace. I propped him up on two pillows but that isn't helping either.
He coughed some today but nothing like this. I took him to the doctor, today, and he sounded fine. His nasal discharge has changed to a yellowish-green but the verdict is another viral infection. His doctor thinks that Wilson's current cold is not the same one he had 3 weeks ago but yet another on he has picked up...
Wait.... It's quiet. shhhh. Okay, I should try and sleep.
I hear him again.
Should I try ear plugs and a shot of whiskey (for me) or a hot totty (for him)?
Alright, silence again.
Shit!! I need to stop typing that.
Good night.

Have you tried a teaspoon of honey? That may help. He's over age one, so he should be able eat that...
Could this be genetic?! Chris used to bark like a seal night after night. I sympathize...you feel so sorry for him yet you think you will go crazy if you hear him cough ONE MORE TIME! Try standing in a very steamy shower with him. Sometimes it worked with Chris. The only other suggestion is the whiskey, lemon juice, honey concoction. For you....leave out the honey and lemon juice. I'm serious. Actually for me a shot of brandy helped. I do apologize for the gene pool Wilson inherited. Sounds like he got the eczema from Uncle Rob. Rob out grew it though, so there is hope.
