Happy Birthday Wilson!!

I love you so much little man. I can't believe that you are two! The time has flown by. It feels like yesterday I held you in my arms for the first time.... I cannot believe how much you have grown and learned in this past year: from crawling to walking to running to jumping; from babbling to single words to 3-4 word sentences; from watching to participating to initiating; from bite size pieces to sandwiches; from all help to some help. You amaze me!!

Being part of your language development has been especially wonderful for me. I love listening to your little, but strong, voice. It is so full of love. Everyday you come up with something new. Like yesterday when we were running and you told me, "Momma running slow" (thanks for the support), or when you ask a stranger their name because you want to know "who dat". Tonight you asked me for blue AND green water with out any prompts from me.

My little sponge, your memory amazes me daily. Hearing you sing the ABC's (I can't believe you do this) overfills my heart with joy. I love it when you try to count to 10. You can't seem to remember that number 4. I know this sounds crazy, but I love it when you test me because it shows me that your mind is growing. (Don't think that you can use this line against me when you are sixteen.) I love it when you show your compassion to a hurt friend or the dog. (Funny how you laugh when your mom is hurt.)

I am honored to be your mother. You enhance my life in ways I never dreamed were possible. I promise you that I will do my best to be the best person I can be. To be the mother and woman you can look up to.
