Nightmare

Wilson had a nightmare last night. He said, "a hippo bit me." He was scared and so brave. Chris taught him to ask for Jake (who sleeps on the floor by his bed) and then get up and check the room for Hippos by turning the closet light on. He did everyting Chris taught him. He looked around the room, asked for Jakey, turned on the light and then pronounced, "no hippos in here."

His bad dream is most likely our fault, as we let him watch Aminal Planet- The Blue Earth on Saturday. I made sure to sit with him and monitor what was on, but I didn't fastfwd the elephant hippos fighting fast enough. The scence is pretty bad, at first they look like they are just playing and then... you see blood. We love the series, but think it may be a little too much for a two year old. Considering Wilson's nightmare last night, I am glad I turned off the movie before the Orca started throwing the seal around the sea.

After a room check for hippos we headed to the kitchen for a little middle of the night nightmare snack (banana and "choc-it brown milk"). We attempted to snack with no light, but Wilson was all about having it on. Then, with his hand rubbing his eyes, a whining voice, and a scrunched up face he said, "I want my glasses... it toooooo brightttt in here."

Wilson's so brave! We'll have to teach something like that to Tate when the time comes.

Ed and I own the Blue Planet DVD series as well. The scenes are amazing!
