I am so thankful that my neighbors are kind and patient people. Wilson loves them and just can't seem to get enough of them... I think he would drive me crazy but he doesn't seem to bother them at all.
Daily, Wilson begins all neighbor encounters by yelling LOUDLY our neighbors' names, sometimes he just yells "NEIGHBOR". He follows his yells with a quick walk to their house and, typically, some verbal interrogation. Sometimes he'll surprise them with a new opener like, "Beautiful day neighbor?" or "Where have you been?", but mostly he asks them, "Whatcha doing?"
I swear he asks them what they are doing a minimum of 100 times (All with a cute smile and a dog a near by...). Thankfully, they have learned to counter his questions with something completely off the wall (a strategy we use at home), like climbing a mountain when they are actually watering their flowers. When they respond with these fun and adventurous comments Wilson will typically counter with, "No, you are watering the flowers" or "How 'bout climbing a tree- that sounds fun."
Today has been no different than any other day with our neighbors. Wilson has taken 5 golf balls from the garage of one neighbor's home and walked into the garage of the other's looking for "Patty" at least 3 times. All visits were announced to the neighborhood, and me, by him yelling their names.
My little social bug is now sitting in his room, as a result of going to the neighbors without asking first. He is declaring that he is ready to get out as I type this...
You may be ready son, but I am not. Time to lock the deck... Our next house needs a fence.

Oh, how cute. What a friendly little guy. We do the same thing when Ashlyn asks the same questions constantly. Our response usually includes something with a rhino, though.
beautiful day neighbor? BWAH HA HA HA. I am cracking up over that one. It's like he's a 70 year old gentleman with that one. how cute....
Do we hear a Hey Mr. Wilson????? Kind of like Dennis the Menace. I so wish you were here so we could enjoy all the funnies.
