Snow and rain

We have had snow and it is now raining... That is the weather here, but don't let it fool you because our house is full of sunshine and smiles.

I have been nervous about the logistics of labor. Nervous about what we will do with Wilson when I go into labor and nervous about Chris being in Canada and getting stuck at the border. However, with my mom coming tomorrow I am starting to relax and the nervousness is heading out the window.

I am not only excited that my mom will be here to help with Wilson. I am excited that she will be here to celebrate Christmas. I’m excited that she gets to see our home: to watch Christmas movies, bake cookies, and enjoy some time together with no schedules or agendas (besides having a baby- of course). I'm like a kid that can't wait to open a gift. She lands at 3:15, if all goes well...

My mom coming is not the only thing that has made our house fill full of sunshine and smiles. Yesterday a LARGE package arrived full of more pink and purple than I could imagine (Thank you Melissa and Clara Sue). There is nothing better than a baby clothes swap!

Plus, we have an amazing little boy that can’t help but fill a home with smiles. The past week has truly been a delight: we've made snowmen, baked cookies, played games, and watched Christmas movies. Plus, Wilson has pretty much potty trained himself (which I had absolutely NO intentions of trying until after he turned 3). His imagination and excitement for Christmas and his sister is extremely contagious. He thoroughly lights up when you talk about Santa and his sister. He pretends his trains are going to the North Pole and has turned our couches into sleds and the pillows into reindeer (the dogs wouldn't stay still long enough). I love him more than I ever thought possible and I know that God will surprise me soon when I am overwhelmed with love for another child.

Life is Good.
