Lunar Module

Wilson, as many of you may know, is VERY interested in space. This past Halloween he asked to be an astronaut. So we bought him the suit and it has been on his little body every day since it arrived.

We are pretty excited that he is so interested in such a phenomenal thing so we have encouraged his interest by buying and reading books about space and space craft, as well as watching PLENTY of You Tube videos on the topic. In fact, Wilson has watched and read so much about man's first step on the moon that he has become a bit of an expert on Neil Armstrong's journey.

Which is why when Papaw and he decided to go on a space adventure the only things worth crafting (in Wilson's mind) were the Lunar Module (LM) and a space pack.

Making the LM and space pack took several days of creative thinking and implementing. The LM has a ladder, a space viewing area (complete with photos and a mobile), an O2 tank converter, radio, and control panels.

The space pack has an internal O2 tank and filter. Papaw even developed a parts list for everything.

Trick or Treating at our neighbors

When he isn't pretending to travel space he pretends his suit is a "runners suit" or a "skate racer suit" (aka speed skater). The only difference his says is that for skating he needs socks because he'll have less friction (yes, he talks about friction) and his shoes have more friction so he needs to wear them when he is the runner.

Life is always full of fun around here. Off to announce number 25 the speed skater...

He is so much fun!
