Heart Full

Wilson had his first Valentine's party today. He made every Valentine card himself and I am so very proud of him!

He has worked on the cards for the past week and a half and with every card he has taken into careful consideration the friend who the card is for: For his friend Kai, he wrote his name in red and yellow because he likes firetrucks and he wears a firefighter rain jacket that is those colors. For Katie, he wanted flowers and light pink. For Ryder, soccer balls and race cars because his lunch box has soccer balls on it and he likes to play with race cars. For Kira, more pink but darker pink. For Lincoln, a Mater sticker because he brought Mater to school when he had the letter bad. For Rosie, a Nemo sticker because she brought a Nemo to school when she had the bag. I could go on and on about the things he has mentioned about his friends.

I am so grateful that he pays close attention to the people around him and that he is developing into a kind and considerate little boy.

How great is that! Most adults don't put that much thought into gift giving.

I know. I really am proud of him. I even made a point to read him this blog entry and your comment.

Funny thing, when I read the post he quickly corrected me.He said, "Lincoln didn't bring a Mater, Momma. He brought a Lighting McQueen and that is the sticker I gave him. You need to change that and make it right."
