Oh my, has Wilson been counting down the days until he was officially four and a half?! I have never seen a kid so excited for a half birthday! Since his fourth birthday he has asked me, "When will I be four... and a half?" I have told him, "in 6 more months... five more months... four more months... etc". He caught on, as he reminded me on my birthday, August 5th, that August was the month HE turned four and a half.
Funny enough, the kid remembered on the 20th that it was his four AND A HALF birthday. I was so tickled he remembered that we got cupcakes to celebrate. (We were going to make brownies but the cupcakes called his name at the store. They did look good. Chocolate with mint icing.) He then asked me where his presents were. Smart move, Slick. Smart move... I told him that his present was going to the NW Washington fair with his friend the night before.
Next count down... FIVE! He is in such a hurry to grow up. It happens too fast.
