From the fish files

We had a great time!! It took us about an hour to get to the new fishing spot, but it was well worth the drive. The last 30 minutes was spent driving down a BUMPY gravel road in the Lewis and Clark National Forrest.

I decided not to fish. (Because I didn't want to get a fishing license...I haven't given up my AK id yet. So I would need to buy an out of state 2 day.) Instead, I lounged on the banks. It was wonderful! I placed my blanket in the sun on the side of the stream, right on a patch of wild peppermint plants. The smell, sounds, and weather were tranquil. It was more relaxing than any spa I have ever been to. Chris did well. He caught a couple decent size trout. The rest were just little guys. I didn’t take many, pictures. I wish I had, but I was enjoying my blanket too much. Jake swam and swam. He is a little sore today but doing fantastic.

It was great. We were on the banks before 8 and left a little after 12. I wasn't too hot until around 11.

No real pland. Chris is going fishing with his dad that day. (on a float trip) I think we may go to dinner when they get back. I just want cake!!!

I sooooo want to be where you are right now! That sounds so much better than the traffic report every morning, all the delays, smog warning, water boiling, because a huge valve broke......... I HATE THIS CITY!!!!

I can't wait until vacation! Have fun on your birthday this weekend, don't eat to much cake!
