Pregnancy update.

All is well. I am feeling much much better. My cramps are almost completely gone. My only complaint is lack of sleep at night. I am pretty much up every night/morning from 3-6. It isn't too big of a deal right now but once school starts (30 Aug) I will have to drag myself to work, exhausted. I ordered a "pregnancy pillow" but that hasn't helped too much. I guess this is just my body's way to prepare me for motherhood.

I had my first OB appointment this past Monday. My doctor noticed a cyst on my R ovary from my first ultrasound. So I'm scheduled to have another ultrasound on the 15th. I will keep you posted and definitely share pictures. Looking forward to seeing the little one again. :)

I hope everything is okay with the cyst...I know a lot of people have them!

I'm glad you're feeling better--and sorry about the sleeping thing. It totally SUCKS. I think pregnant women should be able to sleep REALLY well to get prepared for motherhood, not the other way around!

Hey Jamie, Glad to hear the cramps are going away. Did I miss something. Where are you going to be working? I'm headed to WA tomorrow. Looking forward to my little vacation. Take care..hope you can sleep soon.

I am not worried about the cyst. I have had issues with them my whole life...or I should say my entire "womanhood".

I go for my final interview tomorrow but and am very confident that I will be working for the school district this fall. I meet with the head of SpEd today. I will be a SLP-aide. They have more strict rules here regarding BA degrees.

Good luck with the interview. I want to see pictures of the little one, too.

YAY! So glad everything is going well. How is the whole food situation? Are things still tasting really blah? Let us know how the interview turns out and send pictures of Smitty 3 when you get a chance.

I'm happy to hear you're feeling better! I used a pregnancy pillow (it was a snoogle - I'm not sure if you're getting the same thing or not) and it was WONDERFUL - until much later on in the pregnancy when I would get tangled in it as I was trying to rush to the bathroom to relieve my bladder. I really hope it helps you sleep!

I got the job. I start on Aug 29th. I will be providing SL therapy to kids from preK-6. The best part is that I am able to work part time (21 hours) and have a lot less responsibility than I did in AK: no hard paper work, IEP's, etc. I don't even have to work when kids are out of school. This means...No inservices!! Plus, the pay is great...for here. (A pay cut compared to my pay in AK.)

I'm glad to hear that the pay is good. You weren't expecting that???

Everyone I know here is happy to make 9 dollars an hour (with a BA degree). I was so not expecting the pay they are giving me. I'm lucky they need SLP's so bad.
