Jake's check up
I just got back from the Vet's office. I was very worried about this appointment because I noticed a fleshy spot on Jake's knee. At first I wasn't too concerned but after I felt it I thought it could be a loose screw. That would mean another operation. The good news is, it is not a screw. It was an abscess. Whew! His X-rays showed great improvement. The plate and screws look fine. He is on antibiotics and not allowed to swim for awhile. We go back in two weeks for one more set of X-rays. Hopefully, in two weeks Jake will be allowed to play with other dogs again. YEAH!!

Ruger will be glad to know Jake is mending well. How are you feeling? Miss you lots! : )
I informed Scout and Buddy that Jake should be allowed to play in two weeks and they are excited. Maybe they were just excited because Jason got out his fishing pole, and they thought they could go. I'm not sure, but the dog owner/mother in me says they understood me. So glad he is okay.
So glad to hear he's going to be ok.
Yeah Jake is bummed about the swimming thing. I told him to sit in his new kiddy pool. But he is not a fan. He will drink out of it but no wading. He doesn't know what he is missing.

I'm glad he's mending well....I can't picture him in a kiddie pool...you must post pictures!
Okay, I'm glad Jake is okay, but I was most excited to hear from you the other day. How in the heck are you?? I miss you!! So, does your blog title mean you have a bun in the oven, or am I just confused?
Noel, Yeap I have a bun in the oven. My announcement post is in archives now (June). I am great. Almost 9 weeks. I love it here. The people are great. The state is great. I miss family and friends but I other than that I can't complain.
You are due in August right? Your baby girl is going to be so beautiful. Keep us posted. I will check your blog for updates.
