My finals are done. YES!! I did well. So I can officially celebrate. One semester down; 4 more academic blocks and 1 internship to go. I can see the light!!
My Monday consisted of having my teeth drilled for 2 hours, and I have to go back THREE more times during my break. I have a few cavities. I know, I know, you only get one set of teeth, blah, blah, blah. Do you think I want cavities?!
The beginning of my appointment I decided that going to the dentist wasn't too bad and asked myself why everyone hates it so much. Needless-to-say, 2 hours later (really about 30 minutes)I knew why!! Dentist aren't personable. They make you feel like you are a subject, or worse, invisible. Not to mention that the stick huge needles into your gums and use a DRILL on your teeth! I have another appointment on Monday and am thinking about skipping it. I would much rather be put under one time, than have to go to the dentist 4 times (and that is just for fixing my teeth. I am also due a cleaning...).
Just so you all know, I do brush my teeth. There are times when I forget to brush before bed or maybe I am just too tired to care, but that is normal every now and then. Heck, I haven't slept well in over a year. So, when I finally hit the bed, I don't jump up to brush if I forget... Maybe I will now?? Do you ever forget to brush? Did any of you have similar experiences when you were nursing??
We leave tomorrow for Portland. Chris has a Christmas party for work. It should be fun. I am very excited to (a) see Chris and (b) have Wilson meet Santa. I will post more when we get back... After my much anticipated dentist appointment.

When I saw the title of this post I thought you were going to tell us about WILSON'S teeth. That SUCKS that you are having all that trouble. My mom said she lost a tooth for every baby she had (three babies, three root canals). Something about pregnancy does it to you. I hope they can get it fixed without too much pain and hassle for you!
Good luck travelling and congratulations on finishing what must have been a hard semester! You go, girl!
My sister had problems after her pregnancies with teeth. Somehow the babies just sucked the calcium away from her or something.
I still brush at least twice a day, but it used to be more often before Ashlyn. And flossing? Doesn't always happen.
Oh, and yeah for finals over!!!
I miss you.
I have TERRIBLE teeth. So terrible, that I had to have a tooth pulled and a bridge put in (on 3 teeth).
Have a great weekend and I will email you my address this afternoon!!! Oh, I need your new address as well..thanks!
Jamie - I feel for you because I just went through the same thing. After nursing 2 kids and snacking in the middle of the night while nursing, I finally had to get my first cavity filled. (Apparently another tooth is close to having one as well). On top of the brushing issue...I mean, was I really going to brush at 2am?...is my lack of flossing as much as I should. My dentist was nice about it and told me he would spare me the lectures about proper oral healthcare. But that's mostly because he knew I used to work for a dentist. Oops.
