Short and sweet from here on out...

at least for the next 8 weeks or so.

I am jammed packed this block. I have 7 hours of treatment a week (2 pediatric patients that I see twice a week and am doing one day of group treatment at a senior nursing facility). In addition, I have classes ALL day on Tuesdays and Thursdays (8-4 with ONE 30 minute break!) and one class on both Monday and Wednesday...

So far my classes have been fine. I am taking a swallowing disorders class that I think will be very interesting! The other class of interest this block is school age language. I really like everything though.... guess that's why I'm here.

Wilson is sick. At first I thought his symptoms were a result of his second flu shot, which he had yesterday, but now I think he may have an ear infection. He had a fever last night and was VERY fussy today. (When I pulled into the garage and could hear him crying.)When I walked into the house I found my poor Dad holding Wilson in the rocker, trying his best to sooth him. Not much was working... I nursed him, which worked only temporarily (he fell asleep then woke up upset.) Then, we tried Tylenol. Then, dinner. The only thing that seemed to sooth him was numbing drops (for his ears). He is sleeping now. I hope the night goes well. I plan on sneaking him some more Tylenol in a few hours. Hopefully I won't wake him, and it will aid in his and my overall night's sleep.

That is it for now... Good night!

I'm glad that you are interested in everything, especially since you are so busy.

Alternate the tylenol with motrin. Motrin seems to work better for Ashlyn for reducing fever, etc. I hope that he is already feeling better and doesn't need it.

Wow. I can't believe your schedule! You are an inspiration!

I second Angie on the Motrin thing. I LOVE Motrin!!! I alternate it with Tylenol, too, and I HATE it during the Tylenol hours because it just doesn't seem to work as well for Becca. Could it be teeth? Does he have any other symptoms?

Man. Ear infections are NO FUN. Salem has a double ear infection and a ruptured ear drum right now. We're looking into getting tubes put in her ears next week. How many has Wilson had??

Something about new studies that have indicated, in ocassional cases, harm to liver. They don't feel it is an area for too much concern just that overall Tylenol is more safe and they recommned it being our first choice.

Sorry I took so long to answer.

Oh yeah, Wilson hasn't had any, yet. Is Salem getting tubes?
