It started snowing yesterday morning and it hasn't stopped. The forecast calls for snow the next 6 days... Chris and Dad cleared the drive. Wilson, the dogs, and I observed.
Our power was out for a few hours this morning and during the outage everyone in the neighborhood was outside. They were skiing, walking, clearing their driveways, etc. No one seemed the least bit concerned that the power was out. I had to laugh at all the cheerful souls, including myself. I never thought that I would be so relaxed about all this snow. Guess Alaska broke us in...

Dan cleared off our cars and the deck a couple of hours ago and you can't even tell he did anything now. We have a lot of wind to go with the snow so the snow is coming down sideways. Our power hasn't gone out but I wouldn't be surprised if it went out later.
Holy Cow. That's a lot of snow. How much did you get, or are you going to get?
I am still struck by the beauty of your header photo every time I come to your blog!
The snow looks really beautiful! I'm glad the power came back on!
Holy Cow's right. As of Sunday, we had 24 inches of snow and 2 inches of ice on our roof. It snowed again today (Tuesday). Maybe 2 inches? We are reported to get another big storm on Weds night. School was canceled on Monday but not today. We have midterms this week so it is crzy intense. I am super thankful for the snow day on this past Monday and would not complain if it happened again...
You got a snow day? Not fair! So far we've had just as much snow as you but U of I hasn't even mentioned the possibility of canceling school. I've had two classes canceled because my profs were sick not due to weather. JD's daycare is talking about closing Thursday and Friday so I have no idea what I will do if I still have school. Are you getting a lot of wind up in Spokane?
I can't believe that I would think this after Alaska, but I'm jealous of your snow! I did enjoy walking outside yesterday without a coat, but I actually have a child old enough to enjoy sledding now! Snow, please. (But just a little bit and temps don't need to drop below 25)
I love it! I miss the snow more than anything!
