the things they say- 2

At the airport while we were waiting on our final flight to Bellingham the gate waiting area was rather crowded and the only seats available were handicapped seats. I took it as an opportunity to educate Wilson on manners and kindness.

I showed him the picture on the back of the seat and we discussed that some people need help physically and that those seats are saved for them. We sat on the floor for awhile until one regular seat opened up. As luck would have it the seat was across from a handicapped one. Soon a woman (who was not physically handicapped) came over and sat in the handicapped chair.

Wilson now sitting in his stroller announced to the woman:
  • "You are sitting in the handicapped seat. SEE the wheelchair. You can't sit there. That is not kind!"
