Next weekend looks better though. We are both very blessed to be in the situations we are in and are learning SO much. Plus, we couldn't be more fortunate to have my Dad here to help. This week my Dad has managed to get the oil changed on all the vehicles, walk the dog, wash clothes and fix dinner. Wilson loves his Papaw and the time they are getting to spend together is just wonderful.
Speaking of the not so little man, here are some of the things he is doing now:
- Walking more (yesterday in the park he walked probably 150 yards before he needed a break)
- Rubs in his lotion and soap on his belly during baths, showers and or diaper changes
- Says off when he turns the light switch off and when he takes his socks off
- Bends over to "check himself out" when he is naked
- Says Papaw
- Points to Chris' pictures and says Dada (He does this to a frame that I have hanging with various pictures in it; some of Chris and I, and some of other family members and friends. He finds all the pictures with Chris. It amazes me b/c I pointed out one of the photos and he continued to find Chris in others.)
- Laughs every time he sees a photo of himself on the screen saver
- Moves his tongue in some wild positions while "talking" (I think he may be practicing his yodeling skills)
- Plays high and low (Dad taught him this one. He, my Dad, says high in a high voice and Wilson raises his hands, then Dad says low in a low voice and Wilson lowers his arms.)
- Loves his peek-a-moo book and has a favorite animal, the rooster.
- Loves his Mr. Polar Bear's more and more everyday! He hugs them and sleeps with them. It is adorable. All three are so worn. (My mom bought him 2 to be used in rotation in case anything every happened to no. 1. Needless-to-say, the rotation of Mr. Polar Bear didn't last too long cause all 3 are in his crib.)
- Pulls up my shirt and finds my belly.
- Gives my belly wet kisses/Wilberts (aka Wilson's version of zerberts)
No pictures. Sorry. I haven't taken any since St. Patties Day. Terrible I know.
Oh. How could I forget? We sold the truck. Money hasn't changed hands yet but a SUPER nice couple has taken it for a test drive and to their mechanic for a look over. They have been talking with Chris and gave us an offer a few days ago. They really love the truck and are SO excited to have found it. We love the truck too and have an emotional attachment to it so we are very happy that it is going to good people and a "good home".

Wilson sounds adorable and very smart! We definitely need some more photos!
I wish I had Papaw around here too. We need some stuff handled at our house!
We are hanging in there. School is busy for me and work is busy for Dan. Definitely looking forward to summer. Perhaps we can make it up your way more often this summer. Definitely missing our friends!
Sounds like he is really growing up and the sad part is that I have NEVER met him. Boo-hoo. Ok, pitty party over, but for real, we need to find a time to get together. This being apart thing sucks. I have a 4 hour layover in Seattle on the 8th and a 5 hour one on the 17th. Wanna come hang out?
More photos! More photos!!!!
I'm glad that you have been able to enjoy what you are doing right now. I'm sure having your dad around helps.
Definitely need pictures of Wilson! And you, too.
