Our Dinosaur

Wilson was a dinosaur for Halloween. He asked us about 2 months ago if he could be one and his mind didn't waiver. It's kind of like his sister's name. We can't get him to like anything other than Trampoline... I digress, He was cute dinosaur!

As I said in my previous post, on Friday (before the fever came) we went to our church for a Halloween event. At first Wilson was terrified of everyone. He held my hand tightly and did not want to go anywhere, but after a little while he warmed up and began to enjoy the festivities. We ate pizza and popcorn (from a big bowl filled with more germs than popcorn), colored a pumpkin for Chris, decorated a cookie, tossed bean bags in a pumpkin face and even went trick or treating.

For the trick or treating adventure our church had people (mostly teenagers) in various classrooms that handed out candy. We didn't last long trick or treating because for some crazy ass reason the teenagers felt the need to dress up like scary mass murderers. AKA Jason.

Can you believe it? AT A CHURCH FUNCTION! You know who I am talking about, right? The scary Halloween movie: Jason, Friday 13th. He KILLS everyone... Couldn't they have dressed up like Jesus or Sponge Bob? Hell, I would have been okay with a burning bush?

Anyway, Wilson was not too fond of masked murderer costumes (I personally wanted to give them a lecture about appropriateness) and refused to go near at least three rooms. In his words, "I am scared of that scary face momma... I am ready to go."

All in all, besides the scary faces and contraction of h1n1, it wasn't too bad.

He was the cutest dinosaur there!

Why would you dress up scary for a function anywhere that was geared towards kids? Definitely not appropriate.

Doesn't H1N1 have an incubation period? I would think he might have contracted it earlier than the night before the fever.

1-7 days. More likely 1-4 according to the CDC.

We were everywhere on Friday- My doctor, the grocery, the tire place, and church. It really could have been from anywhere. He touched everything everywhere and is going through a terrible oral phase. So who knows.

I just know that a butt load of people had there hands in candy bowls, pop corn dishes, and pizza boxes. He didn't get sick until about 24 hours after we left church...

He is too cute! I am glad you guys are on the mend. And I cannot BELIEVE they let people in freaky costumes deal with small children.
